Oakfield Historical Society Facts

Collections:
Besides seeing the historic wood frame station building, you can be intrigued by hundreds of photographs- some of which are over a century old. There are also vintage signs and advertising pieces, signal lanterns, original railroad maps, telegraph equipment, newspapers, a Hand Car and a Motor Car, restored mail carts, the C-66 caboose, and a weathervane that came from the top of the old water tower that was demolished in 1982. We even have a small scale model of our Railroad Station!

Facilities:
The Railroad Museum maintains the wood frame station building that is now on the National Register of Historic Places. It also has a series of rail cars and other antique railroad pieces.

Saturday & Sunday: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Activities:
The Oakfield Historical Society Maintains an annual calendar sale to help raise funds for the maintenance of the Railroad Museum and its collections.
